Who we are
Welcome to Pathways to Progress Therapy Services. Our company was established in 2014. It is our goal to provide strategic and impactful evidenced-based occupational therapy for pediatric and young adult clients. Aside from classic occupational therapy, we specialize in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Executive Function Coaching and Reflex Integration. Utilizing focused evaluation and treatment plans, we incorporate direct client interventions along with family coaching to implement strategies at home to increase the child's success across all of their important environments.
Owner and Operator- Tiffany Thomsen, MS, OTR/L
Tiffany graduated from Barry University with a Masters in Science in Occupational Therapy in May of 2011. She started her career in pediatrics seeing her clients, aged birth to 22, in outpatient, home health, and private school settings. She has experience with a variety of childhood and developmental diagnoses including Tourette Syndrome and other tic disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD/ADD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Chromosomal anomalies, and other developmental delays. She served on the faculty in the Barry University department of Occupational Therapy as an adjunct professor/lab instructor, teaching Pediatric Evaluation and Assessment, Development in Early Adulthood/Transitioning, and Evaluation and Assessment in Late Life to Masters level graduate students. She is certified by the Tourette Association of America as a CBIT provider.
Leora Weiss, COTA
Leora is a pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for helping young children thrive. Her background is in working with school-age children and toddlers, Leora specializes in supporting children with sensory, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Using a playful, child-centered approach, Leora incorporates fun activities and sensory integration techniques to make therapy enjoyable and effective. She also has experience with reflex integration techniques and helping kids with both typical and special needs build confidence, independence, and skills for everyday life.
